Restaurant bewertenWe enjoyed our meal here last week. we had oysters, calamari, bruschetta for our appetizers with pastas as our main, the seafood pasta with sausage was amazing. service was good, my only complaint is for the food store. from all of us to our table. this young man constantly ran his hands through his horns, when he constantly fell into his face, then food, hands back into his horns and cut the delivery broth. if he didn't run things, he cut and eats broth. not even wash or sanit his hands. Maybe he needs a food handler course or a hair net. all in all recommend a great evening and in any case. Just check your brot.
Here for lunch on Thursday. I sat out right now. I had the suppe and 1/2 sandwich order. my wife had the salat and 1/2 sandwich order. both were good. was not harassed by beens because they had a bee trap.
Like other recent reviews, this place has gone downhill. Had a horrible experience in 2019 and for some reason decided to return on our latest visit. Food is oversalted, poor quality and the kitchen nor servers respond to feedback.
We were a group of twelve who had a Thursday night reservation. We were seated comfortably in a side room. Our server Sam was excellent! Thank you Sam! Hubby enjoyed a Makers Mark Manhattan. We shared six oysters on the half shell. I had the...Penne Arrabbiata, he had the Pasta Carbonara. Both entrees were outstanding! Everyone loved the food, the ambiance and the service. This is a must-visit when in Kingston!
Everything about Olivea is outstanding from the moment you enter. The first visit was for dinner and, even though the restaurant was very busy, I was seated immediately and approached by the server shortly after. The staff are all friendly and professional. As busy as...it was, they never seemed rushed or frazzled. The food was excellent! The caprese salad was the best I've ever had. The fresh bread with the oil/vinegar was so good, you'll definitely want more. I chose the Orecchietti for dinner and wasn't disappointed. The pasta was perfectly al dente with chunks of mouth watering homemade sausage, Tomato rapini. I recommend finishing your meal with the Affogato. I went back for lunch the next day and, once again, indulged in the caprese salad, but opted for the Penne Alla Carbonara, which was done perfectly al dente and full of flavour. I can't wait to go back to try more dishes.
