Restaurant bewertenI'm glad we wanted to eat here. It was noon on Wednesday, so they weren't very busy. The service was exceptional, understandably due to the slow period. All we ordered was fantastic! The sweet cracker chicken was particularly amazing, and I highly recommend it!
The food is good but not what it used to be. I have been going to this business for over 20 years and I've always enjoyed it. However the most recent time did not seem the same quality as it's been in the past. The amount of food given was still the same quantity. The desserts that I ordered did not seem like they were freshly made. Also it took a very long time to order two entrees and one appetizer along with the desserts to go. However this has not persuaded me not to ever go again, hopefully this was just an off night.
It's billed as a restaurant but it's really more of a diner menu. Portions are generous, reasonably priced and usually ready quickly. The appearance of the place is older and run down. I really wish the owners would update the place. The seats are older and show it. And the old fish tank (now a terrarium) has a horrible mismatched paneling patched around it.
At the mention from the server that it was their most popular item, I got the sweet cracker chicken. Now normally, the whole sweet-and-salty thing is one of my favorite combinations. The breading on this piece of chicken tasted like it was literally just Ritz crackers pulsed together with sugar. It was absolutely foul. On the bright side, my baked potato was good. Service was fine and atmosphere was okay. My mom had the chicken parm and thought it was mediocre at best. My father got the sweet cracker veal and was also disappointed in the coating. My boyfriend was the only one without issue, he had the veal parm.
The food used to be good and a lot of food for your money but I recently when with my family and we waited a long time for our food to arrive and when it did all our food was cold my daughters Chicken Genovese was all soupy like if they opened a jar of Ragu sauce and planted on top of bed of noodles. Service was terrible cuz they had a large party going on when we got there. We asked for water refills and got them by the time we finished eatting. I will never go back and definitely don't recommend this restaurant. It has gone downhill with service food quality...
