Anvil Pub - Horsefly

We decided to try this restaurant for the first time since we are new to the area. We were a bit skeptical, as we have been disappointed with wings in the past. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find delicious and juicy chicken wings, along with the most amazing potato salad we've had in a long time! The cook definitely knows what they're doing. We will definitely be returning in the future!

We had a nice lunch there. My grillee chicken burger tasted very good and the side salad was fresh and crunchy. My husband had fish and chips. They could have used a bit more salt/spices in our opinion. Also enjoyed the onion rings. We sat outside on the little patio that due to covid 19 has only 3 tables. 2 for bigger parties up to 6 and a very small 2 people. Nice flower planters made it quit homey. Stuff is very friendly.

I wanted to give a quick thank you for helping us out yesterday when our vehicle broke down. Thank you for letting us use your phone to help get us and our 9-month old off the side of the highway while we waited for BCAA. We didn't get the opportunity to eat there with all the chaos, but we did get to take some of your food home and it was incredible.

The current owners of this restaurant are extremely polite and helpful. I visited this pub over 25 years ago and it still has the same charming, rustic look, but with updates. The food is delicious and the establishment is very clean. I highly recommend stopping by.

Excellent service and great ladies working there, our dinner was so good.
