Restaurant bewertenI was pleasantly surprised by how delicious their birria tacos were. I tend to be skeptical about birria tacos on the East Coast because they often don't compare to those on the West Coast, but these were fantastic! My fiancé ordered two shrimp margarita tacos and one chicken taco. I took a bite of his shrimp taco, and it was just as flavorful and fresh as I expected! We also shared the nachos together, and they were really tasty with a nice kick. I tried the margarita flight, but I don't recommend it since the portions are quite small; I'd prefer a full margarita glass instead. Overall, it's a great place for friends, and I highly recommend it if you're in Hoboken!
I absolutely loved everything! The food was delicious with generous portions. The birria was incredible!
The menu featured a mix of Mexican and American breakfast options. My nephew, niece, and I opted for the pancakes and French toast. They tasted great, but there just wasn't enough food to fill us up. We received only three small pancakes on a plate with syrup, and there were no side options like sausage, bacon, hash browns, or eggs to round out the meal. On the other hand, the birria tacos that I ordered to take home were amazing! They were quite excellent when we had them later. I really think they need to enhance their breakfast menu if they want to justify the $65 price tag. As part of the price, we received mimosas served in towers, one for every five people. Unfortunately, the towers were mostly juice with hardly any bubbles — it felt like they might have forgotten to add the champagne. Because of this, very few of us actually drank the mimosas. We had three towers overall, and not one of them was even finished! On a positive note, our server Tiffany was fantastic; she made sure our food arrived hot and on time. The churros were fresh, soft, and delicious. Overall, I just think that for the price, they should pour more alcohol into the mimosa towers and include options like bacon and eggs with the breakfast selection. Alternatively, they could stick to serving tacos to better satisfy everyone's hunger.
The frozen margaritas are definitely the main reason I come here—they're strong, and it's tough to find a good margarita spot in this area. The food was tasty, but I didn't receive any napkins, which is one area for improvement in their service. That said, I understand it can be busy. Overall, if you're looking for a great margarita, this is the place to be! The taquitos are also delicious, but just a heads up: the kitchen closes on Saturday mornings.
We went to cinco de mayo, so there was a special menu. (food was estimated at a few dollars, which was understandable; there was a 2 hour limit; and $6 drinks specialties! the best birra I've ever had, but the eating lacked flavor still amazing, although just add some hot sauce! the jack obst tacos were also portioned and full of taste. the salsa was medium, but delicious! they had cinco de mayo girls who were walking around to photo operas and chats. will definitely be back for their normal menu to try!
