Restaurant bewertenWe had a family dinner at J Class. Being longtime customers, we love this place for its charming location and attentive staff that make every occasion a moment of relaxation and joy. The marina-side setting provides a serene backdrop to refresh your mind and enjoy a short stroll alongside the sea. The Italian Apericena experience was a delightful surprise. The array of appetizers, from the seasoned potatoes to the crispy Ligurian panissa, was a testament to local ingredients. The fried pasta-balls called Friscieu in Genoese, were a playful twist. The fried calamari were a highlight, showcasing the chef 's confidence to achieve that ideal balance of tenderness and crunch. The Trenette al Pesto, a real Genovese dish, was tasteful and satisfying. The pesto sauce was high quality as well as perfectly cooked trenettes (local pasta). Accompanying our meal were three mouth-watering and refreshing spritz cocktails, a pure Italian cocktail that balance taste of Prosecco and Aperol, a liquor made up of erbs and roots. The atmosphere at J Class is elegant and relaxed. The nautical-inspired decor seamlessly blends with the marina surroundings, creating an ambiance that feels both sophisticated and inviting. Service was impeccable. The staff 's friendliness and their attentiveness to our preferences enriched the out apero-experience. Highly recommended!
Be Warned Visited J class bar on Thursday evening, good location overlooking the marina two mature well travelled ladies, ordered our drinks which were duly delivered to our table with some appetisers , ordered another 2 glasses of wine with the same waitress, we waited over 30 mins for these second drinks that did not appeared, so we decided to leave , asked for the bill and on the bill were 4 drinks , told the waitress who was different one to the first blonde small woman she was no longer in the restaurant, explained we only had 2 drinks and gave her the correct money for 2 drinks and left the bar . We went to bar on Saturday lunch time to have some cold drinks, we were serviced by this small blonde waitress who proceed to accuse us in Italian of not paying for 2 glasses of wine on that Thursday evening, I and my friend have never been spoken to in such fashion so rude and her manner was quite out order and if she had been one of my employees she would have been dismissed for accusing customers in such a manner without any proof. So my warning is, if you are going to use this bar ensure you get your bill after every drink or take photos of your drinks so you have a record and be prepared for a ridiculous long wait to be serviced.
After a long day of walking in the hot sun, my dad I decided to stop by at J Class' Caffe. We payed 11€ for two tasteless!! milkshakes. One of them was supposed to be a velvet shake with a bunch of berries in it, but the only thing that I could taste was milk with a touch of banana. The other one was supposed to be an exotic shake with mango and other exotic stuff, but the only thing that we could taste was water and a bunch of mango chunks. So thumbs-down for the J Class Caffe in Genova:
Local of the marina of sestri, aperitif with a friend, caipirinha, two sciocchezzuole to eat, price too expensive for quality and quantity of food. I wouldn't come back
Great atmosphere and wonderful view over the Marina. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food is typically Italian, simple but tasty
