My wife is a real big fan of this place, for me it was my first time and I'm just in love. a retro atmosphere, delicious food and a friendly service. I understand why it's so hard to book a table for dinner.

I have a tasty meal here every time! my personal favourite dishes are the Katsu-don or the teriyaki Tofu-Don. the personal is always very friendly and I always recommend Kappa-ya to my friends. absolutely my favorite restaurant in galway!

If you visit Galway and don't eat here, you are missing one of the best food experiences in the country. Fresh seafood straight from Galway bay, amazing donburi, and a great selection of sake. Just do it.
