Restaurant bewertenOk so you arrve back in Settignano after a year of absence, terrible traffic and arriving late. Take dog fpr a walk and pop in to see if there is a table for tw and dog. Full but the always welcoming owner suggests we come back 20 minutes later and he will arrange for us. This is year after year a small but very friendly place and with a fantastic cuisine, mixing Italian traditions with a bit other influences. And again we are treated with delicious starters a very tasty fish. Owner always selects very appropriate wines by the glass if you ask advice. Desderio is truly a gem
Lovely family lunch fresh food beautifully cooked and presented with excellent service. Two vegetarians but still enough choice with gnocchi in a tomato sauce and stuffed courgette with a selection of artisan bread. We called in on chance as we’d got the number 10 bus up to do a walk around the area. Would definitely recommend. Not the cheapest place but we thought it was good value for the quality of the ingredients.
We stumbled upon this restaurant on a Friday afternoon in December 2021 during a bike tour of the countryside around Florence. We ordered the mushroom spaghetti and the duck ravioli, and our waiter recommended two wine pairings. The food was incredible our best meal in Florence handmade, truly fresh, and delicious. We hope to be back!
You really worry some of your favorite places would not survive the pandemic. But the great little place on one of Florence hills is still there with great and exciting food, creatíve cuisine but not loosing touch with Italian traditions. It is really worth a trip for it´s own sake, menu is varied and nowadays also a lot for the veggies of the world. Very fine wine list does not make things worse.
There is no doubt that the products oati in this restaurant are of the highest quality, but for the level and characteristics of some dishes the prices seemed a little too high, like the euro for n. ravioli of eggplants to the parmigiana or the euro for the tris of a few anchovies.
