Restaurant bewertenNice eating here, vegan options for all three courses, we had falafel bisse to start, moving mountain burger and apfelkuchen with obst and vegan ices, it was delicious, with a distance the best vegan foods that we eat in a long time and definitiw the best vegan food before site to folkestone. our small cockerpoo rollo was made very welcome, there is a beautiful garden outside and the kovid security measures are a very high standard. the most surprising was the knowledge of the workers regarding veganism, very impressive. we will definitely return and can recommend high enough!
The jackdaw is a nice country pub that has put a lot of upholstered into their vegan options, such as jackfruit burger and broken bananenblooms. they were a bit busy catering for a funeral when we were there, so we stuck with the avocado and vegan bacon-sarnies and they were nice, would have liked to try the broken banana-blood next time! if they travel specifically for eating, I would recommend to them to call in advance to check if the complete menu is available. the bar area is dog-friendly and there are some really nice walks in the opposite, and it is right on the 16-bus route, so that this one plus for us, as it makes for a very nice afternoon.
We visited this month after the jackdaw. it was welcoming and excellent service. we belong to britstops that advertises the jackdaw for residential property to stay overnight. this gives an additional advantage to have a meal with a drink as not to drive. after the meal just go over the parking lot. the pub is also well located to stay overnight before we go to lydden circuit, where we also for crossing the canal as close to naval and other medium of crossing. because of the holding ups we were a little late for our booked table, but still greeted with a smile and did not tell any effort that our meal with friends even more pleasant than we felt restless to foot in the pub late.
Visited by the rolls of pubs in the film the battle of britain and must say what a pleasant surprise. the bar staff was very friendly and the whole pubs atmosphere was very welcoming, will definitely be visited again.
