Restaurant bewertenEating was pretty good. they had no salate with seaweed, so I ordered the tinted fish salad. it came in a very good size for the price, I was excited. I ordered the Osaka roll and a few tuna nígirí afterwards and I learned why. it was an 8 piece roll, hardly a customs in diameter. the tuna on the nígirí also appeared from a deli slicer, it was paper thin. if sushi does not work for this chef, deli will. the service was really good. Apparently, dothan's water is highly chlorinated, as it was all I could taste in ice water. based on the size of the portions for the price, I will probably look around. the food quality was good, the fish was fresh, but I would have had to spend $70 for me to be full of the portions.
Usually love this place , but I called and ask for my usual order that I PAY for .. the lady said they can’t cut my extra meat in steak and shrimp fried rice .. never returning
The good: service was prompt at first and the soup was really hot and flavourful. The bad: ordered the spicy salmon and as soon as it was within a couple of feet the overpowering smell of fish hit. I took apart the roll. The nori was flimsy with no crispness, and the Salmon was discoloured with streaks of white running through it, that looked like the natural white striations had blurred and turned to jelly. and smelled of heavy fish. I pressed it and it didn’t spring back leaving a fingerprint, and it was just a little below room temp. I don’t know if they pre do the rolls or what, but I did let the lady at the counter know the fish wasn’t fresh and shouldn’t be in a roll. She said it couldn’t possibly be old because they change the fish everyday. I paid as I had ordered it, but will not return.
Lady took my order told her shrimp and steak and gives us scallops and fish
Shrimp taste like frozen shrimp. They were very small and rubbery. Charged like a full hibachi grill but only offers table service.
