Gemma - Dallas

I took my husband to this restaurant for his birthday dinner. We loved the cozy atmosphere and minimalist decor. The baked oysters were packed with flavor and the sweetbreads (our first time trying them) had a delicate taste. I think we would have enjoyed them more if we had eaten the sweetbreads before the oysters. As a special treat for his birthday, they gave us fried olives on the house, which were delicious! Since we ordered 3 appetizers, we shared the rabbit on parpadelle. It was a well-balanced dish with a nice acidic touch. Sharing it allowed us to indulge in 2 desserts: persimmon cake and tangerine tart. The persimmon cake was rich, not overly sweet, and tasty. However, the tangerine tart was absolutely amazing! Overall, we had a great meal and look forward to returning to sample more dishes.

I was taken to Gemma by my mom for my birthday. When we arrived, there was a birthday card waiting for me. They were aware that I needed gluten-free options, and prepared a special birthday treat for me that met my dietary restrictions. The service was excellent, very accommodating, and the food was outstanding. I will definitely be returning to Gemma in the future.

We went to Gemma to celebrate our anniversary and it was a great experience. Love the vibe and the food. Everything the waiter recommended was on point! I would love to go back again soon.

Just OK, food wasn't inspired, and for the price paid (which we're always happy to do for quality food), was not inclined to return anytime soon.

We had two types of fish and both were excellent. The raw oysters, although expensive, were also excellent. Gemma is a go to restaurant and it always lives up to our high expectations. We recommend Gemma highly.
