Restaurant bewertenEnjoyed breakfast, slighty diferent to your typical fry up, very nice comfortable place. Staff very pleasant, I wish that there where more places like this in North Wales.
We had an excellent Christmas meal at Amser Da. Excellent food and service to match. An ideal place to see the world going by! Llawer iawn o ddiolch.
The cafe was very spacious inside with beautifully covered chairs in a lovely fabric. We waited for 10 minutes before anybody came out the back(we had just decided to leave when the young lad appeared!! He had no idea what soup of the day was or what meat was in the cawl!!(surely as front of house that is the first question you ask when you start your shift!! . We ordered a pate and a sandwich and 2 teas. The teacups were badly stained and our tea was nearly cold before our meals came. My husband said his sandwich was nice but my pate was crumbly, tasteless and full of fat lumps, it wouldn't spread on the toast because it was in clumps!! The staff were serving other customers while eating salad baguettes and chatting together loudly forgetting they had customers to serve! On the bright side of our visit the bathroom/toilet area was spotless and clean!!
Coffee was served promptly and there were only a few people in the restaurant. We had not intended to spend a long time in the restaurant. We drank our coffees waiting for a jacket potato and a sandwich. After 3/4 of an hour we asked how long our food would be as no one was served in the interim and people had left. After an hour we decided to ask for a refund and leave but our food arrived immediately. My sandwich, cheese and chutney was only cheese. If it contained chutney it had been scraped off again. I asked for chutney and was given not our chutney but caramelised onions. For an hours wait it was very poor. When my husband complained the lady who had produced the food smiled but took no notice. We met another lady who had eaten there as we had all been laughing together in the restaurant at the waits. She said she had noticed those responsible for the food walking back an too, to the shop across the road. Very poor.
Found this place walking around Llanrwst on a recent family break. I’d happily say it’s one of the best places we have stopped for food in. Our kids had sausage sandwiches- which where delicious! My husband had a sausage and bacon sandwich and myself a salmon and avocado bagel. The food was spot on, perfect for what we wanted! The service we received couldn’t have been any better- the waitress welcomed us in, in such a warm friendly manor, she took our order when we where ready and then offered our kids colouring books and crayons which kept them entertained. All girls having a laugh together in the back but getting work done which is hard to find in businesses. If you’re passing Llanrwst I would definitely recommend popping in- you won’t be disappointed. We will be back.
