Restaurant bewertenWe visited the restaurant on a night when Chef Howard was not present, which may explain why our meal was not up to our usual standards. We had been raving to our friends about the delicious food, but when they joined us for the first time, they were disappointed. The pork tenderloin was extremely thin and overcooked, making it difficult to cut. The outer skin on the ribs was also overcooked and dry, but covered up with sauce. Despite these disappointments, the creme brulee was a standout. The restaurant is often noisy, making it challenging to have a pleasant conversation.
Immediately seated on Friday at 5:30, those egg rolls are fantastic, the sea bass special was excellent and the Atlantic salmon was cooked to perfection! Nice bar, great Bloody Mary.
My wife and I decided to try out this restaurant for my birthday. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff were excellent. I ordered the crab cake sandwich and my wife ordered the salmon BLT. The crab cake sandwich was absolutely delicious, probably the best I've ever had. Unfortunately, my wife couldn't finish her salmon BLT and I tried it. I didn't feel that the bacon paired well with the salmon, so I found it just okay. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and we will definitely return.
I recently had lunch at Mannings Restaurant in downtown Clayton, NC. I started with the scallops appetizer and then enjoyed the Grilled Mahi as my main course, both of which were exceptional. My husband tried the Bad Bacon BBQ and Brisket Burger and declared it the best burger he has ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant to any food lover in the area.
Nice/friendly people and staff. Good time management with food and drinks
