The food was excellent, and the service was very friendly.
Here, you’ll find two things done right: cold beer and everything fried, especially the wings. There are two big TVs playing football, and the bartender seems to have a love-hate relationship with the patrons, treating newcomers like they’ve been coming here for 20 years. Make sure to bring cash; their credit card machine doesn’t have a tipping option, and you’ll look like a jerk if you forgot to tip the bartender who is friendly enough to serve you free ice cream. It’s an interesting mix of vibes, but hey, it works. My total for 12 wings and 2 beers was about $16, which is a great deal for a night out. Will I come back? Absolutely!
Enjoy a delightful meal with friends at Franklin's!
The hoagies are usually fantastic, but today was a completely different story. We ended up throwing ours away because they were just disgusting. The meat was totally bland and had odd chunks of hot sausage mixed in, which made it even worse. There was virtually no flavor, aside from those few small sausage pieces. One of our hoagies was burnt to a crisp, while mine was just mediocre. Overall, it felt like a waste of $26. I'm only giving 3 stars because they are usually really good, except for the times when they over-salt the food, which happens occasionally.
