Whet - Cape Tribulation

I originally came to eat, but ended up staying for the lively conversation. The friendly locals made the experience even more enjoyable, showing that this restaurant is a true gathering place for the community. I will definitely be returning.

The restaurant had excellent food, service, and ambiance. The vegetarian choices were a pleasant surprise and greatly enjoyed. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious.

I have been in the Cairns area since August and have been dining out quite a bit. I recently had a weekend getaway to Cape Tribulation and had dinner at this restaurant. It was absolutely fantastic!! One of the best meals we have had. The Pork Belly and Scallop entree was heavenly, and the mains of Mackerel fish and chips and Rib eye were delicious. Unfortunately, we were too full to try dessert, but maybe next time!

The restaurant does not offer a full vegetarian menu, but they do have vegan curry and three Buddha bowls. I tried the Thai bowl and it was delicious. The location is secluded and feels like a hidden gem.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic! They have a separate menu for vegetarians and vegans, with at least one vegan option available. There are more vegetarian choices than vegan, but the vegetarian options can be modified to be vegan. The price is definitely worth it. If there were a few more vegan options, I would gladly give it 5 stars.
