Restaurant bewertenNothing special, just a small town greasy spoon cafe. No big deal for us as we grew up eating in these places. Food was pretty much as expected. The fried mushrooms were really good and perfectly cooked. The fried catfish was light and not greasy. However, the fried Okra was not cooked crypt enough, the Hushpuppies were not done in the middle, and the chicken Alfredo was bland and not very creamy. Service was fast and friendly, but overall would probably not return.
Great food! We stopped by while on vacation in the area and I have to say, it was maybe the best chicken fried steak I've had. It was tender and well seasoned. The fried okra was also delicious! We were a party of 6 total and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Would absolutely go again!
We went on a Friday evening and it was BBQ night! I got the pulled pork and it was really, really good!! It had actually been smoked, I could taste it! And it was hand pulled because it wasn't full of fat. I really dislike fatty meat so I was a little concerned but this was worth the risk! Came out great. The slaw, hush puppies and baked beans were great too! Oh, and those huge brownies on the counter by the cash register are amazing too! It was around $12-13 a person by the time we added drinks and a brownie, so we weren't complaining.
Lovely place to come for dinner. Excellent service even during a busy Monday night. The sweet tea was perfect.
Some of the best diner style food I have had in a long time. Made to order, hot and good portions. Plenty of dishes to choose from that were reasonably priced. Wait staff were very nice and accommodating with a simple hometown interior that was clean and bright. Took a chance to stop here and I?m glad I did. I felt right at home and I wouldn?t hesitate to stop in again.
