Restaurant bewertenOne of the best kept secrets here is the Sunday Prime Rib special. Stopped in on Sunday to celebrate a bday, it was so easy to book a table using the open table app. The web service even provides reminders for the booked time, it's great! On arrival we were seated in the dining, I like how we were not asked the bar or dining option. Also like how they were expecting a bday celebration- they just didn't know who it was. My companion was looking at the menu and asking... is it a secret menu? As we were handed a standard menu and an Easter special menu. I said yes and no, because they simply don't provide a print out but the Sunday menu is online. So we ordered the prime rib, mine medium rare, his medium. We had a choice of Caesar salad or soup. The meal itself was $39 and if you add $5 you get a cheese cake with it for dessert, but caution the meal is quite big. Our server Makayla was just wonderful. The broccoli was served with a light butter, asparagus was flash boiled or steamed, the zucchini was prepared same as asparagus but a little more raw. Carrots were well cooked. The Caesar was prepared with a light dressing, Parmesan, real bacon, croutons. The appetizer was also served with bread and butter. The prime rib sat on a bed of mash potato made from scratch, not powder. There was a generous portion of gravy made from scratch (meat drippings) and you can taste the red wine reduction on it. Makayla asked the birthday boy you like chocolate or vanilla, chocolate and a cheesecake came back with a birthday message written on it, complimentary. Frankly it's a great meal, a bit fine dining. So don't be surprised when they steal your cutlery from app, to main, to dessert. Definitely returning for future celebrations.
Went there for NYE dinner. The venison was cold. The desert was a huge chunk of honeycomb in a pudding. Way too much sugar. Unique yes but not completely edible without gagging on the sugar. They played Caribbean music which was much too loud.Next year I will go to the Caribbean if I want a cold dinner and Caribbean music.
Food was waaaayyy too overpriced for the portion size and flavor. I ordered the featured lobster Mac and cheese and it was so bad. Literally tasted like kraft dinner with breadcrumbs and less than a quarter of a lobster tail. Could have made 10 times the size at home for half the prize. Not worth the $41. Also got the chocolate tiramisu which was $11 as pictured, it was tasty but then again it wasn't a tiramisu. It was more of a chocolate mousse covered in chocolate. Overall, the waiters were nice but the service was super slow. There was constant wait between meals of more than 45 mins, and we had to get up multiple times to ask to be served our drinks and water refills. Too expensive, small portions and bland food, and slow service.
Booking was easy through open table. Ambiance is nice matching to larger box operators ex. Keg). Staff friendly and they take time to get to know customer. They are great at feedback and making things right on the spot with professional service. Sampled lobster bisque temp good, portion ok. Wish there was more lobster but for price it's fair. Cesar salad the dressing is on point with balance of cream and freshness the lemon helps)! Wish size was larger. Main Mushroom pasta added scallops. Cook perfect temp prefect. Pasta boil perfect not too little al dente or too much soggy). The mushroom sauce with the butter really drove great texture and taste against the scallop. Highly recommend. Roast beef was ok but we asked for well done so it was our fault. Staff came quickly to save situation with another pasta. It was fire Desert was a top finish w creme brûlée. Good top thickness and the creme was vanilla explosion. Well done. M Will go back.
Went her for the first time with my fiance for my birthday. I had the scallops appetizer, and they were cooked to perfection! My fiance had the ceaser salad which he said was absolutnely delicious. For our mains I had the lamb chops which were a beautiful medium rare and he had the sirloin which in my opinion was more medium but he said it was great. We both especially loved the fingerling potatoes. The cheesecake for dessert was fantastic and fresh, and with my Lucano latte, it was the perfect ending. We did have cocktails, I had the red dahlia which was dangerously delicious! Our waitress was amazing and attentive (and patient with my slightly tipsy fiance lol) would definitely go there again and was so happy with such a good first impression. They even made my fiance his favorite cocktail (emerald city), which most places we go never know how to make but they did a fantastic job. Looking forward to our next visit!
