Sapore Trattoria San Jose

Wonderful trattoria. The pizzas are authentic Italian. Thin crust, perfect toppings. The best pizza I have ever eaten, and I grew up in Montreal, which has a large Italian community and fine dining. My prosciutto was exquisite, tender, just salty enough, and perfectly aged. They had a slight communication error and brought out the wrong pizza for my wife. They realized this before they brought it out, and the server insisted that we take this one free, and they would still bring out the one she ordered. It came less than 5 minutes later. As I say, a one-of-a-kind restaurant. Service was friendly, attentive, and not obtrusive in the North American style. I could easily imagine we sat in a small trattoria in Rome. Decor is quiet, but beautiful, with brickwork, dark hardwoods, tasteful art, and soft music. This restaurant is definitely at the top of our list for our future visits to San Jose. Como digo, un restaurante único. El servicio era amable, atento, y no molesto en el estilo norteamericano. Me podria imaginar que nos sentamos en una pequeña Trattoria en Roma. La decoración es tranquila, pero hermosa, con ladrillos, maderas duras oscuras, arte de buen gusto, y música suave. Este restaurante es sin duda en la parte superior de nuestra lista para nuestras futuras visitas a San José.

I ordered a special pizza, no cheese and no ham, but it went super fast and it was delicious. The service was also excellent.

Flying visit to San Jose, walked around looking for somewhere to sit, eat and drink some wine. Wasn't planning on this and to complicate matters further I'm currently pretty much going without meat and dairy and somewhat stumbling my way through. Don't get me wrong, I'm a carnivore at heart. Was given plenty of help and suggestions and an app and entree not on the menu but accommodating my current dilemma. Anyway, to cut a long story somewhat short, just a lovely and enjoyable experience beyond food, company and atmosphere. I could not recommend this enough. Thank you for welcoming us.

Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. We got such a big customer service and the food was great. They really went beyond and beyond us.

The best meals the first visit was so good we went next night something we never do! that we was San Jose! Real authentic Italian cuisine the best we have outside of Italian and better some we have in Italy! The staff is wonderful and added to all the experience Alex was our waiter in the first night and Jimmy did not say his real name, but he is known as Jimmy because it is easier than his real Albanian name both beautiful guys who really wanted us to have a nice evening we did! We can recommend Sapore Trattoria happy and confidential.
