Ziemlich zufrieden! Mehr Bewertungen anzeigen.
Great place to enjoy a quick dessert cravin by the beach! We opted for the platter with churros strawberry icecream n brownies and were offered the churros with the choice of milk and dark chocolate dip... loved it. Had a chocolate coma after ! :)
So I'll be honest here - the rating might not be a true reflection and a bit biased. After all this was our first coffee in Sydney. The menu looked lip-smackingly good and I wanted to try everything. But of course it also looked super heavy after a full lunch. We were a group and all had coffee. We also had the classic churros and one of the kids took a dessert. The coffee was brilliant and the Churro was okish. The dessert was good but a bit too sweet for most of our tastes. As expected, it was super big and 7 of us could not finish it! Very friendly staff and a nice seating location.
Last stop here before home tomorrow to New Zealand. Tried the new churro's filled with chocolate. Bought two and that was by far enough! Anymore and I would of had a chocolate overload! Bursting with chocolate with each bite! Quite satisfied!
We ordered home delivery, consisting of a salted caramel and banana funnel cake and a box of 10 macarons. The funnel cake was very pleasant, with enough chocolate, caramel and banana to make it a small dessert for two or a larger dessert for one. The flavours were nice, though the caramel was very sweet and not particularly salty. It suggested they'd used a lot of sugar but not a lot of butter. Everything I've had from them over the years when it's been a convenient dessert spot out to dinner with friends has suggested the food has been made as cheaply as possible, in both the Glebe and Bondi Beach locations. But the macarons.. the macarons were old, stale and had a taste of mould. I was going to call and request a refund for them, but in the end I just considered it a lesson learned.
Hot chocolate, fondue, and churros, sounds like an exceptional way to end a trip to Bondi Beach in early Spring; and that's exactly what we did on a rainy Sunday afternoon at the beach. With both inside and outside (albeit surrounded by a cover to keep the rain and wind out) seating, Chocolateria San Churro is spacious without being overly so, intimate enough yet not too crowded, all the while being vibrant and full of life. Service is very good, and the staff are friendly. We ordered the classic churros share plate, a great choice for sharing among friends and family. The chocolate fondue was nom nom yummy, churros were crunchy and fresh, and the fruits were sweet and delicious. A great drink to pair off with the warm chocolate fondue was my order of peach iced tea. Prices are good, the food is great, and the atmosphere is superb as well (though it would be nicer if the place was closer to the beach than the road). I would come back here on a warm and sunny day to enjoy the beach and the breeze. dolldalera.com
