Restaurant bewertenI absolutely adore this restaurant, it's the ideal spot for special occasions. The service is consistently warm, attentive, and enthusiastic. The cuisine is mouthwatering, and I love the variety of rotating menus. My only minor gripe is that it can get a bit uncomfortably warm and stuffy indoors, which detracts from the overall experience.
A first date on Olamaie. What a wonderful experience it was! The food was great, and the service was excellent and that meant that it was an amazing evening! And the carrot cake was amazing.
Pros: Cocktails Biscuits Venue Cons: Eating was a disappointment Duck breast was unlike any duck breast my wife or I have ever eaten. It resembled a well-known lunch meat without taste and texture. It looked like a fat layer between two pink layers We like the ritual of blending the ingredients of Beef Tartare ourselves. It was already prepared and was about taste salad was too salty to eat (absolutely from the check). I noticed that the complaint about too salty appeared in many other reviews of Olamaie. Beef belly tasteful but too fat (my bad choice) Hushpuppies slightly dry, but the sauce with trout rose was delicious. Service Very good if a little hurry. Water glasses were kept full. Wellness contribution of 20% : I would prefer the European Japanese model to pay the restaurant staff a living wage instead of leaving the staff to the generosity (or the lack of customers). Both the server and the maître d’ stressed that this contribution was not satisfied, although the line of satisfaction still remains the test. Conclusion: We will not return.
I sat at the bar and had a great experience with the bartender. My order came at a great pace and it was delicious! The restaurant is a small incognito that is just something to know :
Beef tartare, Hush puppies, and pork were all excellent, but the duck came stuffed with a chicken sausage not mentioned on the menu, which was unfortunate because the duck was cooked perfectly, and it just tasted like sausage. The drinks were nothing special and the wine menu was pretty limited. Overall, I felt the food was good, but way overpriced, especially given the service and ambiance. I would go again if the prices were cut in half, but $20 for 6 hush puppies is beyond ridiculous.
