Weiterlesen On a family getaway, I was looking for a restaurant in Puerto Nuevo that served lobster and good seafood. The service was good, good music but the food did not meet to the expectation. Got a “Mariscada” for 4 people: the fried fish was fried and was very bland in flavor, the clam was prepared with cheese and veggies but tomato was all it tasted like (don’t recommend) and the beans were very salty, the rice, tortillas, drinks and small lobsters were the only ok thing we ate. This place has hype in the ratings and it does not meet the expectations, the food should be tastier. I would not come back

Weiterlesen Made reservation for Valentine’s Day a month and a half out. I was contacted two weeks later to change my reservation due to a computer glitch. I was given a new time, 6:45. Upon arrival, at 6:30, there was a check in line with approximately 8-9 couples ahead of us. At 6:50, we still hadn’t checked in, we still had about 4 couples ahead of us. We met my niece and her husband there who also had reservations at 6:45. They had checked in but, were at the bar waiting. Close to 7 pm, I overheard a woman go up to the counter complaining about not being seated and she had a 6 pm reservation. At this point, my niece, her husband, my wife, and I made the decision to leave. I somehow figured that a place like Gourmet Italia would have their ducks in a row by now. I really hate making this review, because their food is actually pretty amazing. Double and triple booking might guarantee a full restaurant but, leads loyal customers having to wait hours, and that can be detrimental. Will I go back? Sure, I just won’t make the mistake to make reservations on a special day.
