Weiterlesen Just a perfect meal overlooking the marina. Service, by a young, friendly crew was a bit slap dash. They brought my perfectly cooked turbot....but forgot the cutlery. Didn’t notice until I called a waiter who laughed and went off to fetch it. Frankly, the incident only added to the laid back charm of the place. As restaurants reopen here I imagine seasonal staff, still unable to get here, are being replaced by untrained locals who, grateful for jobs, make up for lack of training with enthusiasm and ready smiles, though concealed behind the mandatory masks. Food is just sublime and, based at the marina, on the other side of Palamos from the main harbour, it’s far less crowded with much less traffic noise. Great place for a relaxing, long Lunch. And my turbot? Plucked from the ocean just hours before I ate it. Do visit. You won’t be disappointed.

Stunning views across the bay to Palamos, fresh fish that tastes as though they just caught it which they probably did....as no request is beyond them. They do paella for one, which on this friendless visit was welcome! And paella for one is increasingly difficult to come by! Full theatrical display pan brought to the table and delicious paella spooned out. Perfect and attentive service from Guillem, who made much of the fact that we have the same name, albeit mine the English version. Small, local wine list but the Chardonnay was worth the 18 Euros. (Yes. Only 18 Euros! The setting wins on all counts, but the food is truly memorable. Try the thick, velvety anchovies with toasted pan com tomate, fish of the day, or the paella. Finish with their tiramasu and a glass of Moscatel. Started Lunch at 2.00. Stumbled onto the seething promanade at 5.00pm. Three hours of culinary and scenic bliss. Go. Everything about this place is exemplary.
