14.10.2023 - 21:38We had a craving for Chinese food and decided to try The Ricebox take-out on our drive home. When we got home and tasted the order it was such a disappointment. We decided on 2 Single combos at $16.50 each, which included Chicken Chowmein and rice, with the option of selecting one other side. We picked Almond Chicken and Crispy Pork which had a few stir fried veggies. There was so much sauce on the Chicken Chowmein that the Almond Chicken and Crispy Pork turned soggy. The sauce was unlike any Chowmein we’ve had…it was a starchy brown gravy, a bit of ginger along with something that tasted like the oil from frying fish. It gave the chicken Chowmein a very fishy flavour profile. The noodles were soggy with very few pieces of chicken and only a few scraps of cabbage and no other veggies in the chowmein. The service was friendly and we received our order promptly but we won’t be back for another meal.

24.04.2023 - 14:37Excellent service! Water glasses never ran dry. Beautiful decoration and atmosphere, although we noticed a wealth of silver-haired clientele. Food was amazing! We ordered too much! Dishes can easily be used for sharing. Reisberg was good for 4-5 people. Chow Mein again good for at least 3 people. Starter Appetiser very delicious! Parking also refunded with reception validated.

20.01.2018 - 16:08Best Chinese food in Whitehorse. Ugly restaurant but great takeout. I always phone ahead on way home from work. Nice staff - great food to go.
