Weiterlesen On a sSunday afternoon, my husband and I were walking around the Marais after visiting the Carnavalet Museum looking for a not too heavy lunch. Just off the Place du Catherine on Rue d' Ormesson, among the many charming boutiques, we looked in the window...of L'Etre ANGE, thinking it was another design shop. Then we noticed the tables, a menu by the door and a couple dining. We were warmly greeted by Romeo, the owner and chef and proceeded to order from the limited, but well conceived menu. The carrot cumin soup was just right on a cool day and the bowl of green salad came with baguette slices a and cheese platter that was imaginatively plated, tasty, decorative and delicious with three good cheeses and dried fruit, vegetable chips and a nutty cracker. My husbands entree salad had prosciutto style ham, cheese, smoked pork, mushrooms, apple, mixed lettuces in a light vinaigrette. A glass of wine was included in the price, lunch for two €36. It's a good option when you want value, great service, fresh light food in a very attractive cafe setting in a small shop of gift items and home accessories, well selected, not the usual mix, very appealing.
