Weiterlesen Good location. alfresco has been a well managed f B chain in vietnam for decades. what I like most is that they always offer attractive affordable lunch combo for each two person. this location of alfresco in hanoi is the same well managed in terms of decoration, service and food quality. alfresco is always from my favorites (and my family) when it freezes casual Western dishes.

The service is a fixed price menu which includes bread and wine and seriously it is a feast...to say the least. When you go into the restaurant you pay before you eat. Then you sit at a table and bread and water is served there is no written menu. First there is entrée which is a self serve buffet with salads , pasta salads, egg dishes,cold meats, seafood fish and shellfish . The buffet is plentiful and of very good quality . You also help yourself to the wine house red and white. The mains are ordered from the table and our delightful waitress explained the choices there was a choice of 4 mains from memory. My wife was very adventurous and ordered the speciality of the region tete de veau which looks about as disgusting as it sounds . It was a bit ominous when our waitress say it was a very brave choice for a foreigner to order this, and she would let her choose another dish if she did not like it !!! She actually did enjoy it , with some reservations , as a once off experience. I ordered the beef kidneys , and they were sensational and very brown indeed . The cheese course and dessert were again from the buffet. Again a big selection and fresh and plentiful. The restaurant was full and it was obvious from the banter that there were lots of locals . This was a great experience and I would highly recommend this restaurant.
