Weiterlesen My favourite coffee spot in Venice. Last visited about 6 years ago having stumbled accross it by accident. Went in daily then for a week and have just done the same this time. Excellent coffee and pastries and the orange juice is gorgeous. Freshly squeezed blood orange. Highly recommended.

Weiterlesen Our first visit to Le Saint Y Bar. Arrived in the evening to take advantage of the motor home parking directly opposite. What a warm welcome. Two local gents and the owner, Salim made us feel most welcome, despite our very poor efforts at understanding French! Following a conversation with Salim about having just taken to a (primarily! plant based diet, we arrived for breakfast in the morning and were greated with sautéed mushrooms and griddled, thinly sliced tomatoes on fresh baguette with kiwi and fresh local apple chips. Absolutely lovely. If you're in the area, pay them a visit. First class food, service and people.

Weiterlesen We decided to try to banish previous Valentines ghosts(long story! by going for a romantic lunch and we weren't disappointed. Great lunch, paired with fantastic wines and very friendly and attentive service. Fabulous location at the top of the main street, looking down towards one of the entrance ways. We shared Octopus carpaccio which was delightful. I had tagliatelle with black truffle for main. So simple, but soooo good. Definately one of the nicest pasta dishes that I've eaten in a long time. My wife had pasta with saffron artichoke which was also excellent. We shared the chocolate and rum semi fredo for dessert. Two mains, shared starter, shared dessert and 4 glasses of wine €61! For the quality of the food, service and location, that is great value in my book. Ghost of Valentines past, vanquished.
