We visited this restaurant five times during our stay in Hua Hin because it is completely vegan and was very close to our hotel. We tried many dishes of their extensive menu. Some were excellent, especially the crispy tofu, the pad thai and the papaya salad. Others were a bit boring, or even not that nice. I recommend sticking to the Thai dishes and to avoid the avocado pasta, which was just tasteless and oily. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is spacious and pretty. It is a bit expensive, but you do pay for the presentation and lovely setting. Visited in July 2024 Updated from previous review on 2024 10 07

Thai Square is one of my favorite chain restaurants and the Covent Garden one does not disappoint. There are several vegan choices that are clearly marked and I love them. The starters are very good as are the mains. The interior is spacious and quiet and service is friendly as well. Last visited in March 2024 Updated from previous review on 2022 04 03

There are not many vegan options at this restaurant: There is a salad, a burger and bruschetta. However, Kenmare does not have a lot of places offering vegan food altogether, especially for Sunday lunch, which was when we visited. So we opted for Davitt‘s and we were very happy with our choice. My husband had the burger and enjoyed it, although it was not the best he ever had. I chose the salad and it was excellent and very filling, too. Service was friendly and the restaurant seems to be popular with the locals. Visited in October 2022

I absolutely loved the food at Shoryu. I had the Black Sesame Tofu as a starter, followed by the White Natural Ramen. Both dishes were fantastic! They really belong to the best food I’ve ever had. Moreover, the staff were friendly and the location is very central. This would be a five star rating if it was a veggie restaurant.

We came across the Silk Road Cafe when we were exploring the surrounds of the Chester Beatty Museum, we were hungry and looking for vegan food and were so pleasantly surprised. We only saw that this was on HappyCow later! All of the food on offer is Asian/Middle Eastern/Eastern European inspired, and there were several vegan mains as well as vegan salads. We both had the moussaka with a few salads on the sides. Service was friendly and the food tasted very well. It had a homemade taste to it and was filling as well. The ordering process was a bit complicated, but it was explained to us. There is some seating outside, but because it was raining, we chose a table in the roofed courtyard of the museum, and we enjoyed the atmosphere so much. Visited in October 2022

We would never have found this place without HappyCow, but we were so happy that we did! This is a big local restaurant with many vegan food stalls, almost all of it is vegan. The staff have little English, so you just point at what you want. Some of the stalls have English signs. When you enter, you have to buy vouchers that you exchange for your food. You can return any vouchers you did not spend and get your money back. The food is so cheap we spent only 75 baht for two plates and we were full afterwards. We had mock chicken, gimmari and yellow rice and everything was very good. The seating area was clean and the place seems to be very popular with the locals! It is a bit hot, though. The place is on google maps, which makes it easier to find it, but you have to walk through an opening in a fence do not be discouraged by this. There is a picture attached to the review of HappyCow member Hopeless that shows the fence. It was perfect to visit this place after a stroll around Chatuchak Market. Surely this place can't be beaten on price when it comes to vegan food in Bangkok. I changed 100 THB (less than 5 AUD) to coupons and found it difficult to spend it all! I tried the khao soi, fried chicken, a mushroom curry puff, and took some crispy soy meat snacks home for later. The khao soi was less creamy but more aromatic than the ones I had tried in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. The fried chicken tasted like it might have been made from frozen tofu, with exceptional texture and flavour. It came with a zesty, citrus and herb dipping sauce and the customary clear refreshing soup. The snacks were super tasty too. The atmosphere reminded me of Blue Boy in KL or hawker food centres in Singapore. Definitely recommend visiting, especially if you're shopping at Chatachuk or Bang Sue Junction. Get there early if you go on market days though. We arrived around midday on a Saturday and lots of dishes were selling out. Updated from previous review on 2024-03-07
