I met a relative at this cafe for a pre Christmas brunch, and it was a most unpleasant experience. The manager/owner was exceptionally rude, it took more than 20 minutes to be served, one of the items we has ordered was unavailable, there was another long delay before we received our coffee and food, which were both cold. Being the week before Christmas, other cafes in the Westfield complex were full, so we stayed. Bad move we were there nearly 2 and a half hours for a simple meal and coffee. This place is a real shocker.

This is more of a thank you than a review. Yesterday, I turned 50. All I wanted for my 50th, was to be in Paris; enjoying all there is to being in Paris. It 's been a dream for a long time. What better way to celebrate anything, than being in that amazing city. The city of Arts , Culture and Love. Everything I 've imagined in my head and what I 've heard about Paris, would have been fulfilled by sitting in some little bistro or cafe, in Paris. But alas, not to be. I 've walked past Bistro Papillion so many times over the last 12 months. It was as close to anything Parisian I could have dreamed of. Last night, I got my little piece of Paris. From the onset of walking in, I was transported. If I knew I wasn 't in Sydney, Bistro Papillion could have been any Bistro in the City of lights. I really wouldn 't have known the difference. Everything, from the lighting, the ambiance, the service, took me out of Sydney. If allowed, I could have just sat there for hours, soaking in what I believed was a French Bistro, drinking wine and just watching the world go by. So, the next best thing to my Parisian dream was, Bistro Papillion. The food, was subline. I was determined to try Snails. We know France for many things, and snails are no exception. My family and colleagues turned their noses up at this dish, but I was pumped! Snails it was. And I don 't regret it, one bit. Afterall, I was 50 and in Parisian restaurant. What was funny, the waiter was a surprised, but impressed, I order Snails. Maybe Aussies are not game enough. Forget, when in Rome, when in Bistro Papillion, 'eat snails ', I say! They were butterery, delicate and tasty. Curiosity got the better of my daughters. They asked if they could try. One daughter, couldn 't believe she just ate a snail. I think she liked it. The other daughter brushed it off as, no big deal. The bread, amazing. Be prepared to have lots of bread. It 's just so morishish though. If you want to limit bread, let the staff know or don 't order before your meal. Bread is served with most mains. I ordered the Beaujolais. This wine complimented everything I ate. It was delicate in flavour, light and so easy on the palette. We should have ordered a bottle. One glass was not enough. You pay $15 per glass. I recommend having the cleansing sorbert with vodka. You will need it between entrees and mains. Remember, French food is typically richer than most cuisines. Plus, it 's a bit naughty with the Vodka. Great detail goes into Bistro Papillion 's menu. One daughter ordered the Beouf Borgenoun, served with French Mash. OMG! The Beef just melted like butter in the mouth. The mash, creamy and delicate. Your eyes will roll back in your head. Yum yum yum! You won 't resist eating it all up. My main was, Beetroot Ravioli. The flavours were complexed and distinct. It was served with Prawns, which are purposely placed on my dish. I could taste the seafood component in the sauce as well as the prawns themselves. At first I was a little overwhelmed by the flavour of the seafood, but when combind with the Beetroot Pasta, the dish just worked together in a blend of balance. You will pay around $35 $45 for mains. With so much work going into the dishes, I think this is a reasonable price. And, a little bit of Paris is worth my money. Desserts, the icing on the cake for me (pun intended). Part of my Paris dream, was to order or ask for something in French. And I did. And with confidence! The dessert menu please (in French), I asked. With the response, Qui Madame . This just made it all too real. I was in Paris! Tarte Tartin for dessert. A bit over $15. Worth every bite. Served with a Rum ice cream. Again, worthy of a, 'Yum Yum Yum '. The pastry, crisp and crunch. The apples, still firm with each bite. And I got a candle for my birthday. What more could I ask for on my birthday?! All of this long account of my night, was more than I could imagine. I wanted to be in Paris. I was, for just 1 night. I want to thank Bistro Papillion for giving me moment of pure Parisian pleasure and service. I am so grateful to you.

Unreal food complimented with great service. A real gem Fried squid fresh and tender. Burgers served with a generous amount of fries. Great value. Great selection of craft beers on tap, amazing atmosphere. Staff were very warm and welcoming. Beer DeLuxe offers creative cocktails...as well as the usual suspects. My favourite is Tommy's Margarita

Great little cafe with really yummy food and friendly staff. It is on a busy road but that's the joy of the inner west. Great coffee and the kids (12 and 14 love the bacon and egg rolls. Sounds basic but they make them with love. The sandwiches are just fab too, as the other reviewer said. I just can't go past the avocado toast, and keep coming back for more. Served with a poached egg and his own home made dukkah how can something so simple taste so yum?!? These guys REALLY know what they're doing :

We ordered 8 dishes for 9 ppl. The food portion is smaller compare with other restaurant, but I reckon it's just nice cox you get the variety. Well of course it will add up a bit more pricey, expect to spend $25 to $35 per person. Food takes a bit longer to come out when full house, so just have to be patient.

I stumbled on this place by complete accident and what a pleasant surprise it was. There are basically very few options but this means the quality is excellent. In fact their meat comes from the high quality butcher Hugo Desnoyer, meaning that unlike some kebab...houses, here you actually know what meat you are eating, it’s delicious veal. The staff are well organised (one young man with a beard was particularly charming) and churn the kebabs very quickly, sit inside, enjoy your kebab whilst watching the people walk by in a very cool part of town.

The best pizzas I’ve ever tasted in France!! They are fluffy, the dough is so delicious and so are the toppings! We also had the mozzarella Burrata as a starter and the tiramisu for pudding which were both great. The waiters were friendly but I...really recommend you reserve beforehand!

I'm always looking for healthy places to eat, so when I came by and saw them make their own salad, I was sure we would make a great fit. I enjoyed all the experience to choose my ingredients and look forward to coming back!...P.S the dessert is also good.

Pretty juicy burger! These guys were at a recent festival I was at. I was fortunate enough to beat the lunch rush and was able to quickly put my order down for 1 cheese burger. The wait for my burger wasn't long either approximately 10 minutes. After I got my order, I saw a queue had formed I feel like my burger was rushly put together and it was a bit sloppy appearance wish and to eat. But taste wise, I was very please. It did the job! The patty was juicy moist with freshly cut tomatoes lettuce that did make the burger super heavy. Reminded me of shake shack delicious.
