We saw this restaurant mentioned in the Michelin Guide and booked it for our last dinner in Italy, before returning home. We had seen some rave reviews and some negative reviews on TA, but we decided to give it a try. We called and booked a table and when we arrived we realised the restaurant was fully booked this was a Saturday night. We were warmly welcomed. I think some reviewers criticised the restaurant for being old fashioned. We found it welcoming and pleasant in decor (all seating was inside). We received friendly, helpful and enthusiastic advice on food and wine choices. Hubby and I were recommended the mixed seafood hors d 'ouevres for a starter and also recommended that we should not order primi and secondi after this, as we might be full. This was great advice! The mixed seafood hors d 'ouevres was in fact four plates of food, which came one after the other and they were all delicious. The prawns with peaches were interesting and delicious, but I think my favourite was the grilled cuttlefish, charred and savoury and very more ish. Our children shared a 'terra ' platter of cured meats with melon, which was also very nice. We all had a pasta dish after this: the children shared spaghetti with tomato sauce, which was simple, fresh and delicious; hubby had gnochetti with seafood, which was excellent, and I had spaghetti with mixed seafood which was also excellent the seafood was in a rich and almost creamy sauce, beautifully cooked. I was glad I didn 't order a further course! I managed a sorbet after this and in fact I tried all three of the homemade sorbets and they were all delicious. I could not fault the food, nor the enthusiastic and friendly service. I am not sure if this was 'old fashioned ' cooking, or service, or anything, but I would gladly return to enjoy more of the same. We had a fabulous last night meal.

Like a previous reviewer, we were staying at Villagio di Sorbizzi, with two young children and this restaurant was pretty much at the gate of the complex, so very convenient. It offered something our kids loved: a kids menu decorated with cartoon characters(! , a kids menu which included tokens for the kids to ride on the bumper car style motorbikes outside and food that appealed to them, whether pizza or penne pasta with tomato sauce. For the adults, we found this place easy and the pizza was fine; definitely not the best we have had, far from the best we ate in Italy, but it was freshly made and we went back several times to eat there. The beer was fine, the coffee was fine, the icecream was fine and the staff were nice enough.

We were travelling south and wanted to stop for lunch just past Genoa. We came off the autostrata at Recco and had an idea we would stop at a pizzeria, but we happened upon this restaurant, it was open, we were welcomed, then we saw a TA certificate on the wall indicating excellent reviews and we enjoyed a delicious meal! The restaurant has great character with old tools and interesting things decorating the walls. There is a still and lots of sommelier certificates on the walls. We each had a different pasta dish and all were excellent. My favourite was the trofie black pasta with octopus sauce. Then, the hungry one in our party followed his pasta with a fish stew and we all ate some because it was excellent and there was plenty! It was fresh, savoury, salty and sweet, full of seafood and very more-ish. I think this is a family-run restaurant. We could see the chefs busy in the kitchen. The younger man who served us could not have been more helpful. It was a pleasant place to spend lunchtime and I would happily return to try more of their food.

We read a review to say the restaurant at the Grupo Naval de Olhao did a very good Cataplana. We popped in on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn’t busy, it looked like a cafe plastic tables and chairs) next to the boats and we thought we might try it for lunch on Sunday a sunny weekend in October). We arrived soon after midday on Sunday and nearly every table was reserved. We were able to get a table for 2 phew! The tables around us, outside and inside, filled up. It was busy! The service was fine; not the most attentive, not all that geared to tourists, but friendly and fine. The food was delicious. We had the couvert: bread, butter and pickled carrots. We had house wine which was very nice and went well with seafood. We ordered prawns with garlic as a starter delicious, fresh prawns) for 8 euro); and then seafood cataplana 28 euros for 2), which was fantastic. It came with rice and toasted bread; it was chock full of all sorts of seafood in a light broth prawns, langoustines, crab, razor clams, mussels, clams, and many more. It was excellent. I shall be dreaming of that cataplana for weeks when I am back home in England. We noticed that other tables around us had fish, cataplana, the seafood rice dishes that are a local speciality, and also meat and fish hung on skewers these skewers looked fantastic and were very popular. We finished with mango mousse to share and a coffee. The bill was very reasonable, we weren’t rushed and we had a lovely lunch. I would definitely recommend eating here.

We noted this restaurant because of its mention in the Michelin Guide. We drove to Cecina, parked in a nearby street and walked in on a Sunday lunchtime hoping for a table without a booking. We were lucky this restaurant should have been full, but it was not and we were given a table. We were greeted by the proprietor and his wife was our chef and also came out to our table to take our order, answer questions and check all was fine. What a lovely welcome! We tasted delicious antipasti, primi and secondi all fish and seafood and all beautifully cooked and presented. I enjoyed two dishes with fresh truffles, which felt like a real treat! There was raw seafood as well as cooked. The cooking was confident and I felt I would gladly eat anything prepared by this kitchen. We even managed dessert and, upon choosing a homemade green apple sorbet, I was offered the option to have this with calvados and it was a delicious pairing I had not tried before. We ate with our children who were very much welcomed. We enjoyed our meal so much we returned just two days later to eat there again. Our bills came to around £130 and £150, which included a bottle of house wine on each visit, several bottles of water and also coffees. I felt this restaurant deserves recognition and many customers we loved it and would happily return.

We were staying nearby and I happened to notice this family run Mexican restaurant so we stopped by for dinner. The food was delicious! We were welcomed warmly. The restaurant was busy but we were able to get a table inside. There were a few locals also sitting at the bar just for drinks. Everything we ordered was delicious, freshly made and generous portions. I had a shrimp burrito LA style and it was excellent.

Very French cafe, nice spot to to watch the world go by. Very convenient for the Saint Sulpice Metro which is just outside the door. Had a rather nice homemade burger with fries and salad could have been seasoned better, but nicely cooked burger; fries were decent, salad on the side was nice. Had a perfectly nice glass of wine with it. Service was fine. Burger and fries: 16 euro. Glass of wine 6.5 euro.
