The food was ok but very basic .. I had Hunters chicken with jacket potato .. I can 't understand why, as a business, they can 't add a small side salad or some veg to pretty the dish up Husband and the steak and ale pie and the buttered veg was about 4 green beans, so it was a bit of a letdown for the food .. flavours were nice but wouldn 't go back for food in there again .. we like the pub itself, service is always warm welcoming and wouldn 't hesitate to call in for a drink .. It 's especially lovely Christmas time in there if you 're ever there for the Christmas markets.
