I met three friends/old employees there and we only sat for about three hours talking and remember the good times together. It was fantastic! And they never acted as if we had to leave. So thank you for the South China!

Although we were not guests at the Albatroz Hotel Yacht Club (where restaurant is situated), we were able to partake in a bountiful and sumptuous breakfast buffet for 15€. Everything was so fresh,...especially the fruit, juices, and the eggs/pancakes made to order by Humberto the chef were perfect. Francesco, our waiter, was extremely pleasant, attentive and courteous. He really made us feel welcome by giving us a delicate and tasty mango with orange pureed milkshake shooters. The al fresco veranda tables was divine with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The restaurant is just east of the airport on a cliff with beautiful gardens. Champagne mimosas are also included and the coffee perfectly brewed.

I 'm a big fan of the 'Bacalhau com natas ' dish and heard that it was good at this restaurant and it certainly was. The portion was generous and it...was one of the best I 've had. They have a nice selection of desserts too. I will certainly be returning on my next visit to Madeira.

We tried out a lot of things and everything was just delicious!! We did have to wait a...bit, but it wasn’t that bad. The staff made sure we could be seated as fast as possible. They were really friendly, happy and welcoming, unlike other places we’ve eaten. My boyfriend and I would come back to Calheta just for the food!
