5 stars, but based on the very limited number of dishes I had. I was visiting Oaxaca and one night wanted to eat near where I was staying. I have a teacher of Spanish in Oaxaca (lessons over the internet) so I asked him. He knew where I was staying and in fact his office was nearby. Immediately he texted: Don Juanito, then recommended the tacos sudados. 'sudado ' means sweated in Spanish so I 'm not sure why they 're named this. I 'll have to ask. The restaurant, obviously noting my skin color, had given me the English only menu. I didn 't see them so asked the waiter. Yes, we have these. They were terrific!! A while after I finished and was just hanging out, surfing around on my tablet, I still felt hungry and thought I would try a soup. Another WhatsApp to my teacher. The pozole. So I ordered the house pozole. Absolutely delicious! Not like what I 've had here. Two days later it was late, I was hungry and not feeling well, so I thought soup would be a Good Thing. So into DJ and ordered a chicken pozole this time. It was very good but not as good as the previous one. Didn 't seem quite a rich. On the first visit I was surprised that in what only seemed a minute or two after handing me the menu the young waiter returned, moving quickly, wanting to know what I wanted. I mean the food and not just what beverage. Really surprised me, especially for Mexico. Later that visit I was sitting in the main dining area when one of those 15-30 minute deluges common in Oaxaca started. My food had been brought to the table. After a couple of minutes the waiter came over and speaking in rapid machine-gun Spanish said I needed to move into the other dining room. I didn 't understand it all. So I ventured the obvious: Water is going to fall in onto the table. I had forgotten the word for 'leak '. Yes, he said, so I was moved into the smaller dining area where I could see the deluge about 10 feet away through an open door, the smaller dining area being next to the street. Photo: that weird looking green stuff is an avocado sauce. Can 't figure out why it came out looking so weird in the photo.

We visit Wellingtons fish and chip shop regularly when we want fish and chips. They do gluten free batter which is excellent, highly recommended.
