Weiterlesen The sunday lunch menu had a fish dish, a roast, risotto, a burger and a steak. we sat down at 4pm. they'd already sold out of risotto and fish. good there weren't any non-meat eaters with us! some of us went for the roast, some the burger. waiter comes back. they've now run out of burgers... so won't be going back anytime soon! p.s. the food they did have was quite nice

The few small points, although tables are very close together, we were lucky that the place was half empty. And it could be loud in moments funny enough, even this is a nice dining area, some customers feel they are in a pub..??

Weiterlesen The current carvery is in no way as good as the Best Bloody Mary Sunday lunch which used to be on offer at the Cumberland. The selection now is more limited,more expensive and not as good. In fact I asked a waitress why it had changed to the present system,she said that customers had asked for a carvery. My lamb was very thickly sliced,too pink for my liking and very tough,though the vegetable accompaniments,particularly the cauliflower cheese,were delicious. Starters were brought to the table by the waiter and desserts on a trolley. All in all,the experience was a bit disappointing and I would not return unless the previous offer was reinstated.
