I stayed here on a yoga retreat. The hotel was lovely and has a great yoga studio with lovely views, but it was let down by the food which was quite stodgy and felt a bit old fashioned. This was a couple of years ago (2018) so maybe it has improved!

This is the best local shop I’ve found for a wide range of vegan options (pretty much as much chiller space given to veggie ‘meats cheeses’ as non-veggie)

We came here for my birthday. I had the delicious 6 course tasting menu, with the accompanying cocktails. Every course was great the drinks really interesting. Staff were really friendly and kindly talked us through each dish in English. The only issue was that the kitchen seemed to be struggling a bit with timing so it took a long time between each course — the meal took almost four hours! So I would suggest starting a meal there earlier rather than later.

This was one of the few restaurants in the area that seemed to have more than one or two veggie options. I had the carrot and courgette fritters and they were absolutely delicious, would seek them out again if I lived closed by!

Plenty of veg/vegan options at the bakery counter — the Moroccan spiced lentil ‘sausage’ roll is particularly delicious!

I’ve been going here for a few years it’s tasty and comforting, but prices have gone up and I no longer feel like it’s great value.

The food here was perfectly ok but nothing I went crazy for. Service was friendly but then inexplicably there was a very long wait between starters and mains, it felt like we had been forgotten as other diners were getting their meals in the meantime. Their WiFi was down so we had to go out for cash; we had totalled up what we expected and it matched what they said when we were about to go out for cash, but when we got back they said they had been out by €10 and so they took the full amount we had withdrawn (over by €5 or so). A bit awkward as we didn’t think that was actually correct, but by that point we were just ready to go…

We had the mixed brunch platter, it was a really generous portion for the price very tasty.

The classic spicy wheat noodles here are absolutely delicious, I’ve brought so many friends to try them and everyone has loved them! And a steal at less than £10 for a big bowl. They are definitely spicy (even the least spicy option) and use numbing Sichuan pepper as well as chillies. I suggest adding chickpeas extra veg when ordering the vegan option. While there are vegan versions of the two noodle options they have on the menu, I would love them to start offering a vegan option for the dumplings as well, at the moment they only have a meat option.

Lovely traditional tearoom although vegan options weren’t super apparent. Very friendly staff
