Me and my husband went to Bat Bat for Beef noodle soup Pho) expecting good to ok food because I understand that we 're in the French region where Viet food might not be known or popular. To our disappointment, the Pho we had was tasteless and does not resemble a typical bowl of pho. To make its worse the soup was cold by the time it got to our table. The pho was not authentic so if anyone who 've had 'pho ' before please don 't go to Bat Bat for it.

Bouillabaisse and gazpacho were flavorful, balanced, and nicely presented. Wait staff was attentive and provided wonderful guidance...to neophytes exploring the regional cuisines for the first time. This side of the Vieux Port has many, many restaurants with competitive pricing, but decor, class, and delivery are a step up here.

This was our last dinner in France before flying home the next day. Many places don't serve meals before 7 or 8 pm but this spot serves all day which is handy.... We had a great dinner (chose the special - with salad, Pacific cod & dessert included). Our waiter was warm and spoke English (much appreciated). We appreciated sitting inside as it was very hot & blustery outside. The only 'funny' thing was, they don't bring you your bill so we sat & sat "wondering" when it would be delivered. Finally my husband went to the bar and discovered guests PAY AT THE BAR - after asking for their bill. Desserts were great too - I had the chocolate creme brulee and my husband had a very light slice of cake.
