Weiterlesen Not a bad burger joint for such a hard to find part of the city. The burgers ain't cheap but it's quite nice. I love their chicken burgers which is made of chicken thighs so it's succulent. Their vegetarian burger is fantastic too, with huge slices of veggies and haloumi. You can also order a naked burger (no buns) and they will give you more salad which is quite fresh. The Local Burger and Co also do special burgers from time to time to keep things interesting. Their sweet potato fries used to be thicker and less greasy but I think they changed it recently and now it's a bit floppy which is sad. Their normal fries still tasted awesome though! Their chicken wings with Louisiana sauce is ok. The chicken are on the dry side. They also do shakes and I tried their peanut butter shake and found it a bit too sweet for my liking.

What I love about Jocks other than that they let us try the icecream first before purchasing, is that they have this size called a teeny tiny Jock or something, which meant is great for kids and it’s great for me who feels guilty eating a large cone. I had a beautifully creamy and delicious coffee flavour, whereas the kids had a guava sorbet. Hubby had the chocolate ripple and everyone was happy.

The egg was overcooked, dry and a bit tasteless. The chard curry was nice and like a healthier alternative.

Weiterlesen Hrmmmm I don’t know why Zomato is giving it a 2.5, cos this place is really yummy! The service was friendly even though they don’t speak much English, and the food was delish! We tried their blue corn sopes which is like this deep fried taco with really fresh herbs and black beans and lettuce and sour cream. I didn’t expect my younger son to like it but I always offer him food to try, and he ate 3/4 of it! my dinner gone, but it was so yummy and I was glad he loved it so much. I ordered guacamole and fish taco for kiddies and they ate it all up, even though my older son told me he didn’t like cilantro and gave me a grumpy face. I had a taste of both and it was super delicious, although I thought $2.75 for a very small side of guacamole was a bit steep. I tried hubby’s chipotle chicken and it has a kick of chilli. I really liked it but perhaps we are not used to the strong tasting freshly made tacos, it tasted a bit too corny to me, which is of course what it should be like. Overall I really enjoyed my food there, especially the blue corn sopes!

Weiterlesen A surprise find near-ish to Chadstone shopping Centre, Niko niko serves Hong Kong style cuisine.<br/ <br/ We ordered salty fish tofu pot which was super delicious. Their wonton noodles are pretty good, obviously can’t compare to wontons in Hong Kong. <br/ <br/ The garlic gai lan is tender and super garlicky and their Chinese style beef steak was delicious. Their sweet and sour pork spare rib has good flavours, but not as crispy as I would expect it to be.<br/ <br/ The steamed egg tofu 海棠豆腐 was a bit disappointing. The ones I had before had egg and tofu all blended in together, but this one they had chunks of tofu in the steamed egg, which just stuff up the texture.<br/ <br/ All in all, it was a very satisfying feed.

I got chicken laksa today and it was pretty alright for a takeaway meal. There is a lot of noodles, hokkein noodles and vermicelli noodles combined, the chicken was nice and tender. The eggplant was slightly bitter but overall it’s still very good for what you get.
