Also very notecable was an old cabinet with hanging doors, screaming for a fix-up. On top of that, due to miscalcuation we were 10 euro short and had to ask for our money. In all ways a disappointing experience!

Combined with the nice spanish couple who are running it, I would definitely recommend to pay a visit when you’re around! I would be ashamed if it was my establishment and this is the vibe you give to customers. Apparently it wasn’t just an attitude towards tourists like us. Locals were treated in the same grumpy way.

We all politely said ‘gracias’, but nothing came back. Is it because we just came in for drinks? Or didn’t look posh or wealthy enough for the restaurant? To finish off in style he slammed the bill on the table, again without any word.

I guess the place is rather new, since it isn’t findable on Google maps (snackbar Ria Formosa is still visible on street view). It’s located next to another Indian restaurant which we found a little less promising. For starters we were served papadums on the house with a sweet sauce and mint sauce. For mains we chose chicken pathea, chicken tikka masala and chicken chili. Both came out really well and tasted fresh and authentic. The waiters were very friendly too. We would definitely come back if we would stay in the area and we will try their other restaurant in Monte Gordo.

Foodwise we can only judge their pizza’s. We had the diavola, mexicana and calzone iberico. All were OK, but being on tier one doesn’t justify to ask almost €17...
