Biggest rort is the surcharge for paywave; there is a sign at the counter that says this doesn't apply for debit cards but they charge no matter what. Ironic when they have a minimum for eftpos anyway, and sell you ginger etc to make up the difference.

There is so much to see, but more of a variety than Victoria market. We had a great lunch in Canteen when our son brought us there last Saturday, so we returned on Wednesday. The chicken in a Chardonnay sauce was wonderful, with roasted vegetables and the potato wedges were excellent. Staff are all so friendly and helpful even if they were removed from their feet with him the lunchtime. Nothing was too much trouble. We shared this meal that was just as good because there was enough for 2 people for lunch. Well done The Canteen. You deserve everything you get.

The Naan was a piece of under cooked dough... you could actually smell the raw flour and it was not nice...and puffy like naan usually is. The butter chicken tough and grizzly. The fish curry undercooked and bland. The lamb biryani was ok as was the yogurt sauce. I’m sure this place has changed hands and they have no idea how to cook! Please don’t waste your money going here as we certainly won’t be returning!

One meal didn't arrive, we asked the waiter twice if it was on...the way and were advised that it was. When paying for the three meals that did arrive we were told that the fourth meal had not been entered on the system for our table.

Couldn't... go to the bar for drinks, as large group of drunken men arrived at 10 a.m., then a bar fight broke beside us with half a dozen male clients, spilled to dancefloor and then female employees were involved, the owner who drank blatantly from customers, as well as barkeepers trying to undress that ended to get the guy who started it out. Security was useless and didn't help at all. Male guest was aggressive and met several people, right in front of us and that made me and many other guests near us very unpleasant. We thought the Acorn was a safe room, but a heated situation last Friday and now is a full blow, including the owner of the company unacceptable. The younger female staff should NOT be subject to this situation, my daughter saw that he was pushed and pushed. We won't be back and gone as soon as this happened. We stopped going next door when his aggressively saw his so sad that the acorn slipped into the same place. It is just a matter of time before the police intervene with the exaggerated masses and violence, is really shocked no one seriously hurt!!!! The owner tried to calm down the crowd, but for us it was too late when we didn't get out for violence. Stand-rooms were only fabulous and when they see this, I suggest that they find a more friendly venue than last night was just scary!

Weiterlesen Although I haven't been to another one like this in Melbourne. This café gives you the opportunity to have a boardgames or sing karaoke in private rooms. Their prices gives you 1 drink , and you can reserve for 3 to 5 hours. The stuff...is pleasant and they have an average coffee, Id recommend Latte. Their game selection is pretty wide, for duo game or even strategy games. Totally recommend it, if you love boardgames.
