Weiterlesen Excellent food, excellent place! I took my family of four here after arriving in Ely late at night. Despite it being friday night, we only had to wait 15 minutes. The jail cell theme is really neat. Those complaining about authenticity have obviously failed to read the back of the menu. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us often. I ordered the ribeye medium rare with the stuffed potato and house salad. My wife ordered the filet mignon, stuffed potato, and house salad. Her steak was the best ive tasted in a while! Both steaks were spot on and seasoned just right. The asparagus was nice and tender, but not overcooked. The stuffed potato wasnt too bad, but I'd probably order a baked potato next time. It didnt taste bad, it just wasnt what i was expecting. The beans were great as well, i love the bacon pieces and seasoning they use. The price is sort of high, but i expect that from a steakhouse. I definitely recommend this place!

In addition to the standard articles, they had a wide range of yarns, octopus and other dishes that really attract your attention. I had the Chile Verde and Beef in Red Sauce really good things! The servers were very polite, knowledgeable and authentic! Very professional people! The restaurant was clean, roomy and it is worth visiting when in Ely. I've eaten in almost every restaurant in Ely and I've put it to the top.

At check in, the front desked stressed the importance of having a Do Not Disturb Sign and had us initial a notice saying room service started promptly at 8 and would walk in without a sign. When we arrived to our room, the carpet was covered in black sticky stains, coffee, but no coffee maker, black sticky goop on the mirrors, someone elses pills on the nightstand, no plate in the microwave to warm up food, stains all over, that I hope were juice, but looked like blood, mold or boogers on the walls and no Do Not Disturb sign. When we asked for one, as this was made out to be very important if we wanted privacy, they handwrote one and rubberbanded it to our door. We were appreciative, but still it seemed odd. We have loved JRs in years passed, and was disheartened to find it in such bad condition.
