I feel like it's not expensive for any reason. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but not so good.

We landed in this restaurant on the recommendation of Gourmetburger Bar next door (as we did not want to wait 35 minutes to sit on a burger). How disappointing.... The place was almost empty, the tables packed near us, and instead of sitting, so we didn't have to disturb anyone else, we were shown a table next to other people. We could have eaten on the plate as close as we were. The menus were only in French, and the 1. Waitress didn't even bother to speak English, but went to get her colleague without saying a word. I speak a little French, so it wasn't for the attempt, but the second waitress didn't seem to want to understand me either. We asked about Shandy, i.e. beer with Fanta lemon, but they said they had no lemon, but I could have it with orange.... in the end we have a beer with lemonade that seems to be the only type they do in France. We were not very hungry and settled on a chicken pizza that was advertised as a cured chicken. It had blown 3 pieces of thin cut chicken breast on each half with curry powder. It was a thin crust that it was only redeeming feature, but was burned around the edge. As we mentioned that it was to be divided, they had already divided it on two plates, something I never happened before, instead of cutting it into 8 slices as usually in pizza restaurants. The bill was 18 euros (3 euros per drink, a bit on the steep side, 12 euros for the pizza) and we have the feeling that they expected that we set the 20 euros note, just let us say they were reluctant to pick up the money and with our change back. We finally went to the bar and until our change. It's enough to say no tip deserves from this lot.

The others arrived about 20 minutes later and ordered 2 gluh wine and 2 large beers from the female bar person who went on a tab. Two of us then left the others to end and pay. The smokey atmosphere was so that none of us wanted to stay for more than one drink and we opened the window to get some fresh air. They were then asked to pay for 5 beers and 2 gluh wine, which was the female bar person she had, even though the barman who served me was positive our friends were right. An argument led to paying for what they had and were asked to go. I had already decided not to go again unless the atmosphere was better, so they made the decision for me, and we will take our custom elsewhere. The owner was very rude, clearly gave no handbag over his moses and deserves our custom anyway. Well done, whoever he is, we won't darken him again. I'm going now to destroy our ski equipment!
