27.10.2023 - 13:15Still very good. All I can do is recommend dishes we consistently like. Seekh kebab starter is soft and tasty. Tandori lamb chops are good. Tandori king prawns main course is best in area (we prefer to ask without onions). Fish bhuna Jalfrezi is very good. We used to order murgh Gulshan a lot too. Great for making nan sandwiches or chapati wraps with. It has marinated chicken, onions and peppers chargrilled. We have also ordered the keema balti which is a nice dish most people will like with minced lamb in a medium-mild Balti curry sauce. Bhajis are good too. Poppadoms are always fresh light and crunchy. Staff are polite and friendly and helpful. This is a good take away.

25.10.2023 - 20:22Visited with our eldest grandson to introduce him to the delights of this wonderful establishment. He and as usual, we, we’re not disappointed. An impressive array of cheeses to suit all tastes. Lunch was delicious, their cheeseboards are great value and can easily feed 2 people for lunch. Staff are attentive but not obstructive and always willing to explain their cheeses. The onion marmalade is so complementary to their cheeses and a take home must. Highly recommended.

19.10.2023 - 09:38Went to this charming restaurant as a three generation family and everyone had a lovely time. Food was lovely and the heat of each dish was made according to how we wanted it spicier for some and very mild for others ! Even more charming, was the proprietor who was exceptionally friendly and had many wonderful stories to share of his travels it’s not just the food but also the people which make restaurants such as these exceptional.

12.10.2023 - 04:31Booked well in advance for a large party of 14, Sunday lunch roast beef dinner, the meal arrived as a big piled up heap that looked a complete mess, the beef could have souled shoes very effectively, the only thing on the plate that was ok the Yorkshire puddings, apart from being terrible it was all stone cold, not recommended at all, shame as it used to be very nice a few years ago

11.10.2023 - 10:51Again wet after walking the Heart of Wales route we fancied a drink and bite to eat. Staff and customers were freindly. Thank you to the Landlord for spending time telling us about the area and its history. Its all interesting and each bit helps create the jigsaw of the route.

10.10.2023 - 10:37Came here inspired by dr who (Jon Pertwee days) but had a wonderful day out. The village is gorgeous, a real time capsule. Did a lovely walk up to 4 barrows. Well worth the views. Then a look around the very interesting church. The Blue boar is on the village green. A lovely old pub with good seating outside. Quaint pub atmosphere in front room and a restaurant area at the back. Service excellent. Coffee very tasty and the food for lunch was excellent. Homemade not shipped in! Chef even came round to ask if it was ok. It definitely was! And of course Wadworth beer and red wine very tasty. Highly recommended
