My beast and I make the hour plus drive to San Marcos every few months to pamper our desires. Our favorites: Grilled Chicken Balsamico Salad... This salad has sown layers of aromas and textures with its crispy Romaine salad, cut warm and delicate basil herbs chicken breast, gogonzola and walnuts in a creamy Balsamico dressing. Next, her Chickpea Hummus gets hot crispy and chew... I also love the Babaganoosh and get a small side for diving. Finally, their Crispy Brussel Sprouts are spilled with a Balsamico vangrette, shaved parmigiano and walnut halves. We occasionally fall over and add the truffles of Fries. All this and a cocktail everyone is usually not more than $66.00 because most appetizers and house cocktails are half price during their daily happy hour from 3:00 6:00. Oh, almost forgotten.... today my son came to us and had the Spicy Italian Sausage Pizza, the Sweet and Spicy Thai Wings and a Mojito. All were very good and out of the Happy Hour Menu, so we still for under $100.00. I don't know from another place where you can get good quality food and drinks at this price! I paid 25 bucks, after taxes and tips, for meat leaflets and a glass of water a few weeks ago and swore I would stop eating! Thanks to Sammies, I can live on!
