Not a local Newark guy, raised in Philly, Charter Pilot now traveling worldwide. Had to drop off a coworker at the airport and had heard about this place long ago. Decided to drop in and check it out. Parking was hard to find at 1900L. Was a hole in thewall for sure, which is right up my alley. I prefer local over chains every day. Sat at the bar and had a very warm welcome fromClaudia. She recommended the bacon cheeseburger, so I obliged. She alone makes the trip worth it, amazing customer service. Ifyou like a big, fat juicy hand made burger, this joint is what the doctor ordered. They absolutely killed it! My burger wasfresh, you see the patties get formed right in front of you. A little bit of a wait, but it?s worth it. Came out perfectlymedium well. Indulged in some cheesefries also, not my usual jam. They didn?t look as good as they actually were. I wascompletely happy with them. If they offer pickles and peppers, I highly recommend. Peppers are hot, so be prepared! Experiencewas awesome, next time I?m in EWR, I?ll stop by for another Burger! Thanks! Come out and support your local businesses andavoid chains!

Stopped in on my trek to eat at all of Austin?s BBQ joints. This place gets a definite thumbs up. I wasn?t that hungry, so didn?t sample as much as I usually do. I wish I had tried the beef rib, but the spare ribs didn?t let me down. Very tender anddelicious. The brisket was on point , asked for a fatty cut. Passed the pull test and was juicy. I?m not one that usually getssides, but today I tried the potato salad and Brussels sprouts. Potato salad was very good, no complaints, but the sprouts areamazing, if you?re into greens. Used Lances BBQ sauce and it was not necessary, but also added to the experience. I?ll be back! Highly recommend this place. Come out and support your local businesses and avoid chains!

Was touring around hill country and seeing local caves. Needed lunch before headed to Austin. Longhorn was sufficient. Neat little local joint with many favorites on tap to include beers. Must have had a new CSR, took down my order incorrectly, reallywanted to have a double cheeseburger with bacon on sourdough. I got a single patty, no bacon and no sourdough. I?d say it wasstill pretty good though. Also shared a chicken fried chicken. Not sure what they marinate it with, but that was delicious. Imay come back another time and try the bacon double. If you?re in the area, come out and support your local businesses and avoidchains.

I wanted to try the a prime rib here, but found out it’s only Friday and Saturday. They sell out fast as well, so I’ll be back. I got the cowboy steak medium rare. I was charred nicely and was very tender. I thoroughly enjoyed this steak. I ate inthe bar area and Christine was an excellent server. The decor was very nice, dimly lit with a classic vibe. I highly recommendthis place. Come out and support your local businesses and avoid chains!

Driving from Florida to Texas and needed a pit stop that wasn?t a fast food joint. We lucked into Lazy Gators. From the moment we walked in, we loved this place. Great view and friendly staff. Our waitress was Haley and she was amazing and tentative. She made out visit tops. So nice! All the kitchen staff deserves kudos as well, all of our food was delicious. Got the bacon cheeseburger, medium rare perfection. Nashville hot chicken Sammy was huge and very juicy. the Jerkpork tacos may have had the most spice. Tough to say which is best, each were fantastic in different ways. Also, fries were very good and onion rings were awesome. I highly recommend this place. Come out and support your local businesses!!!
