The Bar on the Upper Floor offers two gluten free packaged sandwiches, both on nice looking baguettes with seeds on top : a cheese sandwich and a chicken cheese sandwich.

I had the steak filet, which was very good. The yogurt pan a cotta was fabulous: smooth and sweet. We went back the next night and had a mushroom and rocket pizza on a GF crust. Staff brought out a regular pizza, but realized the mistake as soon as we asked. So do be careful. To compensate us, we received a free vegetable side dish that was excellent.

It is a delicious crusty roll. It has to be baked (in its own packaging), so the staff will tell you that it will be a 15-20 minute wait. It was only a 12 minute wait for me. Definitely worth waiting for. I have encountered this same brand, with its baking requirements, in other Swiss hotels and restaurants.

The menu states that many many items can be made GF, and there is a symbol to indicate which ones those are, including veal cordon blue. The gluten free food comes flagged as GF. GF bread is also offered.

Weiterlesen This was recommended by the staff at my hotel, Hotel Taodomus. They knew that La Napoletana has gluten free pizza if one calls 24 hours ahead. They called for me and found out that GF dough was ready for that evening. There were about 20 pizza choices, but I chose simply and had a Margherita Pizza that was outstanding! The dough was clearly homemade. And the pizza came out very quickly, but that could be because we got there on the early side of dinner time (7pm). My sister loved her (regular crust) Pizza Allan Norma too. The pizzeria is right off the main pedestrian thoroughfare in Taormina. I wish I had been able to try the Panna Cotta or lemon sorbet they offer for dessert, but I couldn't even finish that wonderful pizza.
