Weiterlesen Saturday night, family down from Canberra – and no one had remembered to book for dinner at our favourite local. Time to be adventurous then, try somewhere new! We finally got a table at Florinas Greek Tavern in Glenferrie Road. Unknown territory but a serendipitous choice. We were all a bit tired and grumpy but that soon disappeared in the sheer determination of the staff to make sure we had a very good time. And we did. The service was swift, the food – though be warned, this is no place for vegetarians – was excellent and the bill reasonable. If you love barbecued meat and seafood, this is the place for you. The whitebait, the lamb, the chicken, the large and super-fresh Greek salad – all were spot on. A little bar on a Greek island – right there on Glenferrie Road.
