Weiterlesen Second time in francobollo recognized us the personal, which is always beautiful! amazing service from beginning to end. eating is sooo good! the first time that I was on a Tuesday night was low and then last night (saturday the restaurant was full and very lively, but I know that they have a separate floor if they want a quieter night. total amazing experience, good prices friendly staff! would recommend 100%/repeat :

Menu du jour : en entrée une terrine maison accompagnée d'une salade de crudités ...une tuerie , en plat moi un onglet aux échalotes ! Un délice ! Dessert maison tout aussi délicieux, le tout pour euros ! Un conseil: réservez votre table !

I have however marked it down to a star because of the service, the price of drinks...and a slightly pretentious atmosphere. We arrived for mid week lunch and were promptly seated on one of their two terraces as we requested. There is also a beautiful large inside room with large picture windows with the same amazing view. We knew this was a gastronomic restaurant which would be expensive but had seen a midweek menu on the board outside for for two/three courses. We were given a menu with a la carte choices and the cheapest menu was We asked about the mid week menu.The waiter had apparently forgotten about this menu and returned with it on a sheet of paper which felt a bit awkward. Whilst the staff were very polite and well trained, for us the service was poor in terms of timing from this point. We ordered an aperitif which was served promptly but our food and wine order were only taken minutes after our arrival and it took an hour from arrival for us to receive the first dish we had ordered. There was also no water delivered to our table for the first hour. For the rest of the meal the service flowed well from main course to dessert to coffee. I understand that good fresh food takes time to prepare but this was a delay in ordering not waiting for food. The food was however beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The desserts are made by the owner's daughter and are imaginative in their presentation and are too die for in terms of taste and quality. We paid for two menus, bottle of wine one aperitif (a whopping and two coffees each). To be fair the coffees do come with a tray of delicious sweet treats which could even be instead of a dessert if you are not very hungry. The food is actually very good value for money considering the quality but the drinks were almost half the bill. In conclusion I would definitely recommend this restaurant for the outstanding food and for the view but feel the service needs tweaking. If you want something cheaper and potentially a more relaxed atmosphere I would be tempted to try the petit Zef which is on the ground floor and under the same management I believe.The view is still good and I imagine that the extras such as drinks maybe cheaper.

From my limited repertoire of the local language i learned the chef du patron worked under a star Chef previously. His Wife serves the tables and she is so sweet but also...professional. The food is spectacular with layer on layer of flavour. From the Amuse Bouche, starter, main to the cheese and pudding courses I was in foodie heaven. Comparing it to a star lunch I had in Paris last year I'd say times better and times cheaper. Outstanding in every way!

Bad news, wine selection not the best, but what they do have covers the whole price range. Had stuffed cannelloni and a linguine shrimp dish which was spicy (hot) but not enough so you did not enjoy it, the tomato sauce was also very rich, as well as, very flavourful. Cannelloni was a bit on the cool side though, we did tell the waiter and immediately corrected NOTE: they reduced the bill for the inconvenience, we did not even ask. Will I go back - yes!
