The service was indifferent. Mediocre at best. If you go, do so for the view, not the food or service

The food was delicious. The gumbo is not TX gumbo with a lot of rice and okra. It was loaded with shrimp so after that I couldn't eat all of the shrimp kabobs.... Weiterlesen The food was delicious. The gumbo is not TX gumbo with a lot of rice and okra. It was loaded with shrimp so after that I couldn't eat all of the shrimp kabobs. The kabobs were served with white rice and the yummiest vegetable medley I think I've ever had. I had to eat them all so I'm stuffed. The kabobs are really great but I just couldn't eat a lot because I was veggie stuffed. I LOVE veggies. They serve with this white sauce they said was ranch but it wasn't regular ranch. It was sooo delicious. The service is really good. Attentive but not bothersome. It's really clean and uncrowded. The only thing I'd change is that I sat under the TV which was okay until music as turned on and it was a bit noisy. I'll definitely be back to try the shrimp cocktail and the seafood soup next.

Very cheap. 15 euro for a plat du jour with entree, main, and dessert? Unheard of at dinner. Reservations a must. Mostly locals. That says it all. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and if we were staying longer in Ales, we wouldn't even bother trying anything else.

This is the type of place, great food and kind owners that as travelers you look for and seldom find but we lucked out here. Would definitely recommend.
