Weiterlesen Cannes is an extremely expensive place to visit so McDonalds is packed! They had different stuff to the London McD's so we tried some new (to us burgers and enjoyed them. They also do the chocolate ice cream sundaes which you can't get in London...(shame as they're the best ones! . They are also trying out the next quick order machines. We went into two McD's and it worked ok in one but didn't in the other. You can place your order through a machine using your credit card and then pick it up from the counter (a la Argos . It's quick and simple. The only thing I hate about McD's in France is that they allow dogs into the restaurants. Saw a woman place her poodle on the counter!! Ewww! Dogs are allowed in food shops in France (as opposed to them not being allowed into shops in the UK and I find this weird but other than that ...fine!

I loved this place for place and good music. dj comes around 10 o'clock, it gets louder and more overfilled after 11 o'clock.

Weiterlesen This is the kind of restaurant you 'd like to like. Off the beaten track, set up in a former girl 's school (as the name indicates) with a nice terrace in the former playground. Sitting under the huge tilleul (lime blossom) tree for summer lunch is...especially pleasant. We have been to this address numerous times over the years and have usually (not always) come away satisfied. This time, we went for a family dinner and sat on the terrace to enjoy a little bit of cooler air after a hot summer 's day. We came away surprised and rather disappointed. Something has changed in the level of cuisine and service, unfortunately not positively. The meal was not inspiring and certainly not on the level we have had previously in L 'Ecole des Filles. As an aside, this is not a restaurant to go to with guests expecting large portions. Nor is it an ideal place to visit with young children; the menu is too adult and the children 's menu is not likely to have your kids clapping their hands in joy. Finally, L 'Ecole des Filles is too expensive for what is offered. Still, we may be back again, as we 'd like to like it...
