25.01.2024 - 09:03Although not as known as Sardinha, Caçador shows almost the same quality as Sardinha with a good set of fresh seafood to serve all day.

24.01.2024 - 07:58Flor do Sal is the best restaurant experience I've had north of Porto. Incredibly, we had a lunch for a bunch of people and still, the service and food were amazing. I only left sad for not being able to eat more.

26.12.2023 - 00:36Fu-Hua has a very old decor but still shows it with style and unbelievably good asian for a portuguese restaurant. Fu-Hua is great in all variables, only lacking in prestige. You can't go wrong with a Peking Duck, vegetable noodles.

22.12.2023 - 18:58Arco Bar has a magic old fashioned atmosphere presenting some of the best small dishes that the portuguese cuisine can offer. From clams to blood sausages, what's intended for the best experience here, is to ask for shareable small dishes and enjoy the portuguese tradition. You'll fall in love in every bite.

29.11.2023 - 23:57Cortelha da Burra, having recently suffered changes on the management team, is still the same old restaurant near Guarda where you can taste traditional food from the beautiful surroundings of Mondego and Serra da Estrela. Still, note that the food is good but not remarkable. On the other hand, you're in the countryside so expect portions able to feed an entire family coming into the table just for one person. Would recommend the cod. Service is very welcoming and talkative. :

22.11.2023 - 15:16Sometimes we only get to know the best of our country when someone from outside tells us there's something cool near to you. This was the case here. Mikkel Borg Bjergsø, the founder of the worldwide known danish craft brewery Mikkeller, is a big fan of Amândio and that led me to his restaurant. Although I came here with a giant hangover, Amândio treated me so well and offered me so many starters that I wasn't even able to finish my lunch. Everything was perfect. The room is old fashioned but still intact from it's first iterations (as they say), so it gives the place a vintage look. Amândio is still responsible for the service, which he manages perfectly. Food is very good. When in Caminha, visit Sr. Amândio.

19.11.2023 - 11:15Casa dos Pregos is a place with a cool place, both in its outside balcony or the coffee shop-like setup inside. However, the service tends to be really slow due to the quick escalation of orders on a regular lunch or dinner. Quality of the products is regularly good but the kitchen tends to destroy the final product either by over cooking the meat or presenting a mayo without any flavour. Any problem here could be easily improved.

18.11.2023 - 08:39Comparing with other seafood restaurants, Napolitano distances itself from the other by how good and fresh their shellfish and seafood is. The regular dishes like seafood rice or seafood 'assorda ' tend to be less savory as in other places but they 're likely the best in terms of ingredients. That needs to be rewarded somehow. There you go, ask for the 'assorda ' or the seafood rice. You 'll be happy.

16.11.2023 - 10:35Honorato is portuguese burger chain is very close to the newly trendy artisanal burger approach that is rulling the world. But one should always hold back or lower his expectations whenever there 's a chain of restaurants trying to keep up with the artisanal thing. Honorato was never perfect in its first days in Lisbon and currently it 's even farther from that. Sourced products may be better than average but still not the best. Meat had a very low fat ratio to the whole burger, resulting in an always unpleasant dry meat sensation. Service is usually not very fast. On top of this, menu is too long and there 's a separate menu only for gin tonics. How trendy, a restaurant that has two of the most opposite things ever. Honorato Coimbra is a place that needs to focus.

12.11.2023 - 11:13Digujá is a place that's dedicated to serve its clients francesinhas, the portuguese famous sandwhich of ham, cheese, beef, blood sausage, wrapped in bread, awesome sauce and an egg on top. Despite that seemingly awesome combination, Digujá francesinhas are mostly average as compared to the ones you can get in any other city. They're probably the best in Guarda since they face no competition in their league but let's face it it's an average francesinha.
