22.08.2023 - 14:05This Tastea location was the very first Boba place I 've actually tried in California, and I 'm glad to call it my first since I know they 're like THE OG of boba places. I had pretty high expectations for this place since a lot of my friends from down here talk about Tastea, and I always hear about how big of a staple they are in California.I don 't remember which drinks we got, but I think one of them was the peach me sweetea? But anyways I am going have to be completely honest, I did not like that drink at all. Maybe it was the fruit bits that were in the drink that gave a weird texture while drinking it. I also found the drink a bit sour or bitter. I don 't know, I was really excited since this was my first Californian Boba and I always heard so much hype about it, but I was let down. Maybe it was just this location or perhaps this particular drink that didn 't do it for me. As sad as I am about the outcome of my drink, I still have a lot of hope for Tastea and am more than willing to give them another try. I read their About Us story and their journey is inspiring, so I will continue to support!

22.08.2023 - 10:53Loved the ambiance from the start. Went with a group of friends and we sat outside it was a little chilly but they offered to move us inside which was accommodating and very sweet. Our server Avery was the best part of the experience! Definitely try out the Bianca Pizza it was to die for. Other servers checked in on us outside as well so the team work was appreciated! Will definitely be coming back in the future, I found my new Italian spot!

20.08.2023 - 13:38Took my dad to Mekha Restaurant during the day of Lunar New Year/Tet, and we wanted to find some Vietnamese food to eat. I myself got the Com Tam (Broken Rice) dish. I actually tried the Com Tam from here back in the summer as well. It has always been a very solid no frills dish done right. I also tried their Vietnamese Egg Coffee which was okay, it was a lot sweeter than I was expecting and it was also more creamy than what egg coffee usually is, probably because the portion of the egg foam was more than the coffee itself. No big deal though.Anyways, if you 're looking for a solid place to find Vietnamese food I would recommend checking out Mekha Restaurant

19.08.2023 - 15:49This review is solely based on the drinks and service from Gigo's Cafe. My friends and I were stuck in Chinatown for a while since we couldn't check into our AirBNB for another few hours. We walked into Gigo's to cool off and ordered a few beverages. One of my friends did feel bad though and ordered some spring rolls too.The drinks were really good! To be honest I don't remember which drink I got, but I do remember it being tasty and refreshing. Maybe it was the sugarcane juice? My friend also got Fresh Coconut juice, drinking straight from the coconut! But what I liked most about this place was the service and how friendly the workers there were to us despite us only getting drinks. There's definitely some bias though because me and one of my other friends in the group were speaking Vietnamese to the older lady serving us, and I think the lady working there was touched to see some young Vietnamese-American tourists supporting their business, so they did their best to make us feel welcomed. If I am around Chinatown again I'll definitely try out their food next time!

18.08.2023 - 10:56Came here with some friends a few days ago looking to eat some banh mi, and this was the closest banh mi spot we could find. Coming in it was pretty empty, but it makes sense since this place is located away from the main roads in a secluded offices area. Service was fine, nothing special. All of us ordered banh mi, I got the banh mi with beef. It tasted okay, but doesn't taste as authentic as other places. They skimped out on a lot of ingredients, such as the house mayo and pickled vegetables (carrots and daikon). Also there wasn't any pate, but I guess this banh mi is adjusted to the taste of the business workers around here. It satisfied my craving for banh mi, but there is definitely better banh mi spots out there if you are willing to drive further out from that area. Probably won't be coming back.

16.08.2023 - 04:32I've been meaning to try out Thaprachan for a while now and finally had the chance to this past Tuesday evening. My partner and I came in around 5:30pm, it was quiet inside but there were a few customers dining in.Thai curry is one of my favourite dishes to get but I wanted to try something new, so I had ordered the Khao Soy which was a curry noodle dish. The curry soup had a nice taste but I wished it was a little thicker. I also expected there to be more noodles in this dish, but that's fine since there were other ingredients like vegetables in the dish that I could keep eating.I'm glad I got to try out Thaprachan, and since it's not too far of a drive for me I would consider coming back again to try their other dishes (especially their mango sticky rice! .

30.07.2023 - 05:42Amazing craft beer selection both in tap and stand in. With great service to top it off. Hosting 5 star food trucks on the regular. The best part is the nick nacks all over. I notice something cool everyday.

23.07.2023 - 19:25I went here so often back when I was in high school. It was such a good spot to hang out when running around East Portland. I have a lot of memories from this place that has definitely given me a positive view of Mojo Crepes.Their crepe items are pretty good and a nice dessert to have after a long day, but the items that I keep getting almost every single time are the Fusion Dogs. I know their Fusion Dogs are pretty simple and honestly nothing special, but they've been my go-to comfort food since I started coming here. Would recommend ordering either the classic Mojo Dog which is what I always get.The only thing I'm kind of just whatever about is the boba. There are a lot better options for getting boba on the east side, so it's only worth it if you're already there.I seriously miss being able to come here on my free time, but I live in Seattle now so I cannot visit as often, but I always try to come to Mojos whenever I am in town!
