Weiterlesen We haven’t been to poets corner four a couple of years as they changed the chef and menu. We went a couple of weeks ago and the place is so much better. It’s brighter, younger staff and the food was outstanding. We met the chap who had taken over the pub and complimented the changes madeWell done great place to visit to eat and drink

Can’t take dogs in but they put a nice big bowl of water outside for the thirsty dogs.

Weiterlesen This is a lovely pub which serves very good food . We had catch of the day which was Haddock with crushed bee potatoes capers, hazelnuts and a bowl of vegetables. The food was cooked really well and the staff were very good. Afterwards we had the red lion cobbler which was lovely soft fruits cooked with apples and a very light scone on top. It’s was delicious. The prices were also very reasonable

Weiterlesen Great place in the square where lots of peoples walk round giving it a great atmosphere. The food was delicious and surprisingly reasonably priced. We had a three course meal which was priced at 20.5 euros each. The food was well presented and the service was excellent. We also took our dog which they had no problem with.

Weiterlesen The first time I’ve been in a ‘real’ French restaurant that didn’t serve pizzas and burgers. I was lucky with friends that spoke french and allowed me to practice mine. Very nerve racking but the staff were amazing. The menu was explained with unusual things on the menu like foamed pepper! I chose the pork which was done perfectly in a apple sauce with beautifully cooked vegetables. The deserts were amazing and such a difficult choice but I had the apricot desert which looked like a cheesecake but tasted totally different. It was superb. The choice of wine was very good and altogether an exceptional night with Jazz band playing in the background. A definite must for you list of great places.
